When idle, the Miami Floating Stage is moored at the eastern radius point of Virginia Key Basin, becoming a landmark in the space of the Bay.

The stage is the core unit, designed to house all vital functions. Components may be securely stored on-board and can be deployed to support a broad range of performances. Electrical power can be generated and stored on-board or can be fed from shore. The stage is designed to be towed into place, as are the modular units that are stored in the dry-dock adjacent to the Marine Stadium.

Screens and shrouds may be used in a variety of combinations to accommodate the needs of performers and audiences.

The position of the stage in relation to the audience in Miami Marine Stadium can be fine-tuned by simply moving in or out. In order to minimize damage to the seabed, most events can be accommodated using pre-set anchorings, .

The open frame allows clear views from all seats. The inherent conflict between the long proportions of the stadium and the proximity required by a single focal point in certain stage performances can be mitigated by the use of screens.

Modular stage units can be combined to create a wide variety of stage configurations.

40’ x 40’ modular stage units are stored in a portion of the new dry-stack boat storage facility.

The stage is designed to host events adjacent to public parks throughout the bay, as well as in the bay itself, for an audience that is completely water-borne.
